Sports Physiotherapy and sport in my life
It was sport that led me to physiotherapy. You would have thought that therefore I studied something sporty at Loughborough University, in fact my first degree was industrial design. It was not until I returned from my travels in Australia that I moved towards a career in training and therapy. I started out as a personal trainer and sports massage therapist but found I was lacking all of the skills I needed to help people fully. In 2010 I began a Physiotherapy BSc at St Georges in London whilst continuing to work as a personal trainer and play rugby for WASPs. Upon graduation I took up a role as clinical lead for WASPs FC Ladies and a few years later set up my own private physiotherapy practice in the clubhouse. 2 children later and now living in Folkestone I have just taken on a therapy room based in White Cliff Crossfit offering my serivces to the people of my new home town!
